automated voice says "the local cops" will arrest you because there are four serious allegations "pressed on your name." they want you to call them back and "discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you"
Can't find any info online when doing a reverse lookup other than it's a landline based in Byron Center Michigan. My husband called the number back and the guy claimed they were charter cable, but the longer he talked to the guy, the less his story added up. Eventually the guy got so flustered over my husband's questions that he made some lame excuse and hung up. Obviously it's a scam.
They said they were from Charter, so I listened.....
They did not have my name spelled right, first or last, Josh is not hard to spell, they didn't know my phone number, tho they just called me, they did not have my contract on hand to verify any info. Also the caller would not let me get a word in, she just kept talking. So I hung up, is definitely a scam
I called the number and a recorded message picked up stating that the office was closed.
Some guy with a heavy accent and shaky connection kept asking me if I was Cody, which obviously not. Told him he had that wrong number and he wouldn’t hang up. So I said sorry I don’t know what you are and hung up. Probably a scammer wouldn’t pick up.
